UTGal99 327 Posted July 1, 2012 Hi there! I am considering having a vertical sleeve gastrectomy done. What is the good, bad and ugly to this procedure? Be brutally honest, I want and need to hear it! Also, what does a normal meal look like (when you start eating solids)? Any comments are welcome! Thank you!
Squisha 99 Posted July 1, 2012 I have no Ugly and very little bad. I was completely off pain meds 1 week after surgery. The worst part for me is I can't drink milk any more (and I love milk), but am enjoying Soy milk. I had surgery in March and a normal dinner for me is usually about 1.5 oz of chicken 2 or 3 bites of a vegtable and maybe 1 or 2 bites of a Pasta or potato.
