How much weight did you have to loose before someone noticed? I started at 330 my heaviest, 326 surgery weight on May 17, I am now 294 as of today but noone seems to notice. People who know I have had the surgery as me how much I have lost but noone seems to see a difference. I know I didn't do this for other people but I would still like for it to be noticed that I am getting leaner. Anyone else?

Yup...i know just what you mean. I started at 349 and now down to 277. People- not many- are just now starting to say... "hmmm....you look different....did you get a new haircut?" LOL

MEEEE TOOOO!!! I still feel 349 most days. It's really weird. My brain is just not keeping up with what's happening. But like you say...keeps you motivated for sure.

Much like others here, I was 330 atleast when I started...it took a long while before people noticed, probably around 50-60 pounds, but once they started it hasn't stopped. It will happen, I have tried to always have atleast one or two things, like pants that fit me...and just wore other stuff til they were like potatoes sacks. Ppl noticed more when I wore fitted clothes

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
