I noticed that my "full" feeling also feels like a hunger pain. Anyone else notice that?

That's exactly what I have been experiencing. I wasn't sure how to explain but glad to know I'm not the only one.

This feeling freaks me out... I can figure out if I am full or hungry. So scared to over do it and cause a leak :(

Just measure everything, then you don't have to worry about overeating. :)

Whenever I get that feeling I either eat a little bit of something or stop eating. I usually give it some time and it goes away. I due measure and keep track of what I'm eating. Just really concentrating on getting at least 60 grams of Protein

I wish I had a full feeling or a hunger feeling and I have neither. I am almost 4 weeks out and feel like I didn't even have the surgery. I faithfully measure everything and follow everything to the letter. I just don't get it.

It sounds like you're doing everything right,,probably why you don't ever feel full because you are measuring, etc..I do much better when I measure..5 oz or less for me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
