Lisa-

I knew one of your many personalities would be back. Kind of like roaches-you never really can get rid of them even when they are supposely "checking out". promises promises.

Interesting-to have a war of wit with one so unarmed is kind of fun. I'm just doing laundry and thats kind of boring.

YOU seem to have this notion that the majority of new people here (I'd say roughly around newbies 6 months old or younger) actually give a crap if you exist or not. Nobody really cares after the first moment that about whatever you did nor did not do with whoever. Too much time has passed-you are old chapeau.

And... You don't have much to offer us frankly.

You try to make a point and it gets lost in rabid language and sheer nastiness. You are not comforting to anyone, you offer no hope, no advice, no kindness. Why on earth would anyone want you here, no matter what name you may use. If the answer is because you may occasionally be funny I guess that is something but are they laughing with you or at you?

Bitter! Party of One! Lisa. your table is ready.

In the wisdom of Rodney King:

"Can't we just get along?"

I'm sorry, the whole thing about "in the wisdom of" cracked me up. I agree with the "Can't we just get along" statement, but as far as Rodney King being wise, HA HA. In fact, it is funny that he made that statement when he seems to have a habit of not getting along with woman and beating them up. I am sorry, but it just kills me whenever I see someone quote him like that saying he is wise or whatever.

I've made a point of not responding to any of these kinds of threads, but really, this is just getting ridiculous. There's no reason for ANYONE to say any of the nasty things that have been said. I for one think that Lisa did give some good advice, and could definately offer things to our community, but that's my opinion, and opinion seems to be a dangerous thing around here lately.

I will say it's interesting to see people's personalities come out around here. I have been getting a different feel for a whole lot of people that I never had before. And 'supportive' isn't the word I would use to describe it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
