LadyIvy 159 Posted October 22, 2012 I feel that it is all that matters around here. I just posted that I hit onederland. I have been on this site for about a year now. I feel like I didn't lose it fast enough to get a congratulations for hitting onederland. Out of 160 people that looked, two bothered to comment. I worked my butt off. So what, it is coming off a little slower. Anyway, this isn't about me, the point I am trying to make is that It isn't just with people you personally know. It is going to happen everywhere. As soon as people find out you have surgery, they look disappointed that you haven't whittled away to nothing by the end of a couple of months. Just keep in mind, we all lose differently, it may fall off quickly at first and then hit a stall for weeks. It may be steady, it may go really quickly. You just don't know what your body will do until it does it. Its a journey and the only feedback you need is from how you feel about yourself. Don't depend on ANYONE to validate your success. Congrats on making a life changing decision for your health.

CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted October 23, 2012 You know what is interesting - no one close to me has asked at all about how much weight I have lost or want to lose or really anything. I told family and friends and my brother saw how slim I am getting and he wanted to know how I did it. I had to remind him I had WLS....hmmm The only person who grilled me is more of a casual aquaintance and I basically just ignored her persistant snooping as she is a skinny minnie and really has no idea.
