So I'm pretty bent out of shape right now. I get my Protein in, I get my fluids in, i work out and I have only lost 55 lbs. I'm a bit over 3 months out and stuck at this weight. Someone please suggest something. I feel like a complete failure. 3 weeks at this weight an I don't see an end in sight. I've hit plateaus before but not quite like this

Are you counting your calories? I thought I was within the recommended number, until I started counting. My nutritionist says 800 max for a woman.

Shoot you are doing great at 3 months out. 55lbs is awesome. I'm 3 months out and have lost 45lbs. When I get stuck at a weight, I notice I lose inches. Your body is just adjusting and you will start dropping again. Can you get to a pool? If so and you can swim, go tread Water for an hour or so. I tread water daily for about an hour to 75 minutes and burn about 1600 calories or more. I notice im dropping a pound a day or every other day. I also keep my calories below 800 and I make sure I get all my fluids in. Don't stress it too much though. Your body is most likely just trying to catch up. 55lbs is an awesome loss. Way to go.

My NUT recommends adding 100 calories for a week when you hit a stall. If it doesnt work and you're still stalled, add another 100.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
