Not sure where to post this but here goes

I have a tattoo on my left calf that my mother in law swears is shrinking. I don't see it and pointed out to her that my calves are pretty muscular and shouldn't shrink much if at all

Any one have any issues with this? I realize it's pretty immaterial to my overall health but thought I'd ask

Well, it should look pretty good if you're exercising. I have one on my back that doesn't appear to have changed much at 100 pounds lost. If it's ugly when I get done losing weight, I'll do something with it. :)

My ankles have shrunk by about 1/2 inch and I measured my tattoo before on my ankle just to see. No difference really. Maybe an 1/8 of an inch, but since it is on my side and not the fatty portion it didn't change much.

I don't have one on my ankle but I do have my neck, upper back and arms tattooed. Despite losing more than 100 pounds none of them have shifted or changed significantly. Unless it's in a place likely to sag or bag, you'll be fine. I'd be a sad girl if I had a breast tattoo or one on my stomach, that's for sure.

I've been 1-1/2 yrs out before I tattooed (January) what I wanted. It starts the back half of my neck. Its about 3 inches in length and 7 inches wide (shoulder to shoulder). But I don't think it will change much.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
