note2bear 35 Posted June 27, 2012 My NUT says my pre-op diet should be less than 30gms carbs and over 80gms Protein, but no other specifics. I'm concerned I'm not doing it right. Can someone give me more specific recommendations? Should I be doing protein shakes/drinks right now? What exactly are you eating or not eating?

TinaMari 75 Posted June 27, 2012 I have read so many different variations of the diet. My doctor said no Protein Drinks. Only Clear Liquids, Jello & applesauce. No limitations.
JenniJune 79 Posted June 28, 2012 I'm on a Liquid Protein diet, myself. Although every doctor has their own diet. For some it's two Protein Shakes and a low fat/low carb meal, for some it's clear liquids. I'd call your surgeons office and ask them for some varification.
