GivingItMyAll 168 Posted July 2, 2012 I"m so happy for you!! I wish I could start to walk' date=' but I get so winded. Maybe because they did the hernia surgery also. If anyone else is going through this please let me know. Good luck to all.[/quote'] Start slow. I also has the hernia repair and was very winded in the beginning. My first walks were 5 or 10 minutes. I have worked my endurance up. Today (5 days out) I did 40 minutes. Don't worry about walking too fast, either. Take it slow initially. It helps to know that I'm not the only one. Tomorrow will be two weeks for me. I haven't lost any weight since last week, and wondering if I ever will again. I know it's not healthy to have to all fall off too fast, but 10 more pounds would be nice. I keep thinking when I go back on the 19th, what if I don't lose weight. I have followed the diet to a T, and I'm at a stand still. Is this normal? My tummy feels a bit bloated, but maybe that's the way it is suppose to be?? Jan LV 0 Posted July 3, 2012 I had my surgery last Wed. - 6/27 and I must say that I do not feel too good. I can walk around with no problem and my incisions are ok but I have so much indigestion and I cannot get enough Protein down. My dr. insists that this is all normal. I have a headache but he said that that can still be from the anethesia. I belch a lot and am so full all the time. I feel very weak. My nutritionist said to add yogurt to up the protein. It has helped some. I sleep in a recliner to avoid more gas.I hope it starts getting better. Hope you feel better too.

I still get very tired, and I have another headache tonight. If I eat or drink too fast I get a horrible pain for a few seconds then it goes right away. The other night I have severe heartburn for the first time. I also burp alot. I want to start losing weight again, can't stand being at a stand still when I harldy eat anything. UGH... shrinkingturtle 21 Posted July 3, 2012 my surgery was 6/18. I was able to get in and out of bed by myself at 1 week. I was still tender heck I am still a little tender now having some nerve pain. I still sleep in my back because side is too uncomfortable but on a good note I am walking 2 miles a day at a slow pace. No more mess and Protein and Fluid intake are right on target. TaniaB 37 Posted July 3, 2012 Today is 2 week post op, and I'm feeling real good, going camping tomorrow, been on the go all day getting ready, this first time sitting down. Haven't tried solid meat yet but I will this week, dr said I could go right to solids and skip the mushie stage... I have no hunger eat only cause I have to, today all I had was Protein smoothie for Breakfast, and small peach smoothie from McDonald's for lunch and 3tbsp cottage cheese for supper, right now sipping on another protein smoothie. I haven't been getting my protein in, have to work on that.... Had no pains the last 2 days, but last night I turned in bed and felt a sharp pain near one incision, been in pain all day... Incision didn't rip open but think I pulled something inside... Hurts every time i stand and bend over. Oh and I'm 20lbs down in 14days:) 1 jessica0728 reacted to this

I have been at a stand still for over a week now, and I'm really getting upset. Again, I got up this morning and still at the same weight. I'm doing everything I'm suppose to and I'm seeing nothing. I have had a headache since last night. It doesn't seem possible that I would be dehydrated, but maybe that is why. I'm gonna try to walk this morning before it get's too hot. I think if the weather was cooler I would feel better. Anyway, I hope that you reach your goal for your birthday!! Good luck!!

They said I am doing great and now I just have to get in to see the nutritionist and they said I can advance my diet as tolerated!! I still have to work on my Protein though and my bp was on the lower side so I also need to watch my Fluid and salt intake but all in all I am very happy with these results

RudeKitty 3 Posted July 3, 2012 Sleeved June 26, 2012 Were you still sore? Never really did before. Could you sleep on your side? Yes, I'm a stomach sleeper, can sleep on my stomach too! Could you tie shoes? Yes but wear sandles most of the time. Bruising? Yes, at one of the 4 incision sites. It's still black, no green yet! Feeling great! 1 jessica0728 reacted to this

Mostly on my left side but I guess cos of the pain med catheter/pump I had in the hospital on the left side it's more sore. I'm able to lay in my right side with very little problems. And I too have some nasty looking bruises around incisions at the moment.
