I am 19 weeks today and only at a loss of 32#. My dr was disappointed, saying I should be double that? Wow really?:(

I'm just tired all the time and still have bad nausea with Vitamins to the point I usually puke them up. So aside of the monthly B12 shot I get, I'm guessing the Vitamins issue is contributing to my lack of energy?

I take two daily RX for the acid reflux and chew tums a lot, and still nothing I eat is satisfying due to the acid indigestion.

I'm just not progressing as I'm told I should be and it's frustrating and discouraging. I know eventually I will keep losing because I'm not eating half what I used to but who knows when it'll be enough to see and feel a real Difference.

Well, how much do you need to lose? Maybe you are just a slow loser, which can be great in preventing lots of saggy skin. I would be calling the doc about the tiredness and nausea, you shouldnt have that at 19 weeks out, I havent had any tiredness since 3 weeks out. Are you eating enough, drinking enough Water? I find when I stall, changing the amount of food I eat seems to break the stall. Good luck to you.

Try increasing your calories. If you can, it will help you to lose more. You may not be eating enough for your body to let go of more pounds. It is really hard to do but I've found that the scale keeps moving if I try to get in at least 800 calories. Sometimes I know I don't make that and I will have a stall. Hope you feel better soon.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
