Cheese killing...

Recommended Posts

Funny, I have followed and read the entire threadkiller post, thank you very much. While it did contain comments that could scare off newbies, at least it was contained in that thread and in the appropriate forum. However, once it got taken from that specific thread and to other forums, it was no longer funny, just inappropriate and offensive.

Noone wants to listen. Noone really cares.

Everyone just wants to prove themselves right.

Everyone wants the last word. This thread isn't

about the good of the board. Its about being right.

Being better. Being the bigger person. Face it.

We all suck.

*laughs* I've been looking for a picture of those old clacker balls. They were two hard resin balls, each suspended on string which hung from a ring that you put your finger thru, then you just lifted up on the ring and got them clacking.. then when you were brave enough (or stupid enough) you got them going so hard they clacked together above your hand and then down below your hand. Anyone remember these?

So, for those who didnt see this on the other thread. This joke started when a certain someone and I were laughing about what our boobs look like when we lean over the sink (nekkid) to brush our teeth. My friend then said that she pulled hers apart and let them go and they just kept "clacking" together! LOL

I remember those Clackers. I used to have some and I can't tell you how many bruises I had from trying to do them over my hands. OUCH!!

I have pendulum boobies. Take my bra off and they hang to my knees. LOL!!!!

Fantastic, another thread which wasn't angry or mean or out of line has now swirled around the drain and gotten sucked into the void.

None of the people who are so adamant about posting all this cheese stuff are new here. I'm new, i'm telling you as a newbie here that the cheese thread killing tactic is truly annoying. I was trying to read through a thread to find out how comfortable I would be sharing alot of my personal experiences on this board. A mod here was accused of some seriously bad crap, how would I ever find out if I can be comfortable unless I read that mods response. By the time that happened the thread had degraded into a cheese conversation.

Now, this thread, a sincere request NOT to kill the thread killers thread which no one complained about, but the CHEESE conversations in other threads has also degraded. So what does this say to me as a new person here. It says that any conversation that the in crowd of cheese posters doesn't like will degrade into this crap. So now we are being censored by a self elected group?

If you don't like a thread, don't read it, don't post in it, and don't talk about cheese or clackers or any other thread killing tactic.

Perhaps you all should go back and read this thread again, not just for the people who asked politely that this behaviour stop, but for all the people who are tired of the crap here and are leaving, as well as the for the new people who would really just like to have the same chance for support you long timers have had. Sorry if this offends anyone, but it seems like this little private joke has spread like a virus and is infecting this forum.

And as far as the comments about "move on", "getting the last word", "enjoying the drama", and others like them, they're all crap. People came in here to openly discuss their feelings about something here and again, a select group decided this shouldn't be discussed.

Someone here jumped on Elizabeth for posting this since PMs were sent instead of a public post, this is why it wasn't a public post, not everyone enjoys confrontation and drama, some of us prefer to just find support and comraderie in a common goal and couldn't care less about the drama and personal in-fighting here.

With all that said, I'd like to thank the people who participate in the Thread Killers thread (which I found to be very funny) who also posted here that they don't think its a good idea to drag the cheese comments to other threads. I'd also like to thank the cheese threaders who apologized, I don't think apologies are neccessary, just letting threads die a natural death is enough.

I personally got the whole jist of the cheese comments, they were intended to change the angry tone with humor... however, I get emails to threads after I post on them. I like to get them if they are in response to a thread I'm interested in. But the cheese ones have become like dreaded junk mail. (even though I giggled at GSue's brie farts comment). And yeah they do get in the way when trying to read a thread. I agree with the not posting if you want a thread to die. If people are still posting on it, it's their right. If it gets beyond attacking the idea to personal attacks then yes moderators should handle it. I do find myself disappointed to know that not all moderators handle these things as they should and get involved when they shouldn't, but I'll allow Alex to take care of those issues. Thankfully it's not my job.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
