missmachine 100 Posted June 26, 2012 For the past 3 days or so, I've been waking up to these incredibly sharp pains on my right side, from my neck/shoulder, all the way down my spine and to my butt. It hurts worse when I breathe. Everytime I inhale it's like someone is taking a knife to my side. I have been sleeping on my back with my head propped up a little bit (same way since surgery) so I don't think it's that. But the pain is so bad that it wakes me up. It doesn't really go away throughout the day, it just becomes more dull. Does anyone know anything about this?
2bsmallagain 156 Posted June 26, 2012 I had some gas pains that were in my right shoulder that lasted about a week after surgery. That could be it. I took the dissolving gas X strips for it. It helped some but it just has to exit your body. Are you able to keep things down?
missmachine 100 Posted June 26, 2012 Yeah, I can keep down everything. I am two weeks out though, you think it could still be gas?
glsun0612 6 Posted June 26, 2012 I would get it checked out, I had a pain similar to that and it ended up being pneumonia. Better to be safe than sorry.

I would not think it would be gas. I agree you should get it checked out it could definitely be pneumonia.
missmachine 100 Posted June 27, 2012 Yeah I guess I'm going to have to. I'm still not breathing right either.
