Cloe,

Where is Peterborough???? lol. You should come East sometime. I live between Montreal and Ottawa, both great cities to visit and to go shopping.

Hmmmm, I'm definately tempted. Shopping, you say?????? Now you've gone done it!!! You said the 'S' word, damn!!! I've never been to Ottawa. I've always wanted to take the kids there. It might be fun to come for a few days. Hmmmmm, can you smell the smoke??? My brains working now, thinking how I can manage this. It would be great to see you again, too. Leave this idea with me.:)

Only another hour... I will be in Ottawa tomorrow morning and was there all day today.. so we could meet in Ottawa. How about tomorrow? Seriously if you ever wanted to visit the Nation's Capital, I would meet you there. Any one interested???

So after paying attention to all of your advice, I decided to book for another fill. It is scheduled for next Tuesday. I decided to go to Mississauga for the fill (5 hr drive) instead of Ottawa. Wish me luck....this is the one!!! Right???

I am also curious about the new clinic. Will let you know my impressions. I booked a hotel room downtown T.O. Any suggestions on what I should do downtown TO next Tuesday night? Green any ideas?

Thanks for all your encouragement but after not being able to eat Breakfast and lunch, I decided to postpone the fill. I did manage to eat some supper. My plan is to start walking, do some tea toddling, go on vacation and decide after I get back from vacation if I should go for a fill.

Can't wait to leave for vacation!!!

Oooooooooooo, where a you going????????

If postponing your fill felt like the right thing to do, then great, your band is yours for the journey, take one day at a time.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
