I know but the weird thing is, I haven't lossed anymore weight yet. Maybe it will start coming off soon. Really though by suppertime, I can eat quite a bit, so I am not really worried. I think that I will just have to learn what it is I can eat without this happening.

Hey guys!

I don't want to sound like an idiot, but what does "PB" and "PD" stand for? I'm fairly new still here in lapband land and was just wondering. Thanks!

Teri

Dawn, you are amazing. You have lost all that weight without having the terrible side effects. Since my second fill, hardly a day goes by that I don't pb. Breakfast and lunch are the worst and by supper it gets better.

Be careful, Wheezy, from what I've read on these boards too much pb-ing is very bad for your esophagus. It will become inflamed.

:) (Pb means productive burp; this describes when your food comes back up the same way it tried to go down.)

My dh and I are off to Montreal tomorrow to see a football game, then to Plattsburg, NY for shopping and the following day to Lake Placid for some R&R. This crazy lady that I work with has really stressed me out and my hb has been doing his boss's job for the last 8 weeks (his boss found another job in PEI). They offered my hb the job but he turned them down. It's just not worth all the headaches for the extra dollar an hour. In the meantime, we both are in need of some relaxation....away from work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
