Recommended Posts

:sick :speechles :) :cry :biggrin1: :guess :tired ;) :kiss2:   :faint: :) :help: :scared:

Ok Mandi, You started this!

We could use this thread for September's goals.

I would like to lose at least 8 lbs.

I will exercise at least 3 times a week.

I will be careful not to eat junk food. I better hurry and eat the cheese Crunches I bought today. I have 2 days to get rid of them. :hungry:

Good Luck to everyone in September!!

So I will only s ay I will try, but I will be running after sheep and jumping over gates and stuff, so that is exersize. As far as food goes, Im gonna try the no (or very little) junk food. Like take-out, snacky things etc.. I promise I'll come back in October with a vengence. I just can't promise anything for September. But I'll be cheering you all on...:cheer2:<----thats me!

Cloe, I think running after all those sheep is exercise enough! Don't forget to post some pictures.

Neenah, I have a puppy you could have instead of the kiddies! My puppy, Bobbie, named after Bobbie Orr, is a handful. But she is so cute even when she is being bad:faint:

Yoda, here are your crunchies, CRUNCH, CRUNCH!!!! Hope you enjoy them, they are calorie free. lol :hungry:

;) Hey Yoda,

I just had a handful of crunchies and yes they were cheezy.

Any Kid would love to imagine they were Bobby Orr. He was one of the greatest. That's why we named our puppy after him, although she is female, so she is Bobbie, not Bobby.

Our cat is named Austin, after Austin Powers. I was told when I bought the cat, 8 years ago that she was male, so my son and my husband named it Austin. I took "it" to the vet when "it" was about 7 weeks old, the vet informed me that our little boy was in fact a girl. The vet asked me if I wanted to change her name, I said no, we were already used to calling her Austin. I doesn't matter anyway because since then she has lost her MOJO.

We seem to have a gender problem in this family. Thank God it is only extends our pets. I hope HA HA! NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!

I seem to be able to eat more and more, so I may need to go for a fill maybe sometime late September.

How soon after the surgery did you all go for your first fill?

TLBC does it six weeks (no sooner) after surgery; in fact they book the appt for the first fill the day of surgery!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
