Your mouth fills with drool only sometime a little thicker and it dribbles out. It was my full signal after surgery.

I got over the slimies (although every once in a while I get them) and now I sneeze when full. Gotta love this sleeve. Everyone is different. You may or may not experience them.

Slimies are a nasty little surprise that our sleeve gives us when we eat too much. There's really nowhere for it to go, so, as iegal said, you drool uncontrollably and, if you're lucky, that extra comes back up without an issue.

So that's what it's called??? Well, I have done it several times since being sleeved. So now I know what to call it and why it happens! Thanks!!!

I hate the slimies. It happens when I eat too much. It's been happening since I've started soft food. I don't always get the pre-drool but sometimes my mouth get filled with saliva and I feel like I need to vomit. I've tried to let the feeling pass but no luck. The only way I feel better is to get it out.

I haven't vomited at all but it sure feels like I am going to for a few minutes. Sure isn't comfortable!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
