MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted June 23, 2012 Greek yogurt is great because of the higher Protein that's in it compared to regular yogurt. You just have to be careful with the carbs especially with kinds that have fruit in them. Grilled chicken is great too.
karenb4729 309 Posted June 23, 2012 You can buy low fat greek yogurt and the best thing is that greek yogurt carries much more Protein than regular yogurt.
Star1221 270 Posted June 23, 2012 This depends on how far out you are? If you are far enough to eat them both, then yes. By all means eat some
mylifeinpink 349 Posted June 23, 2012 Plain Greek yogurt is the best! So good for you too! SO much Protein you can use it in place of mayo too!
emily_0192010 168 Posted June 23, 2012 Yes and Yes!! With grilled you chicken you may need some sort of sauce with it in case it is a bit overcooked (it would be dry and might be uncomfortable in your sleeve). I love greek yogurt. My FAVORITE is the Fage 2%. They also make a 0% which has no fat and is lower in calories (but isn't as creamy IMO). If you are watching your carbs then get the plain (i substitute this for sour cream in recipes). Then flavor it yourself with sugar free syrups or crytal light packets. My favorite is to add espresso powder and half a packet of splenda. The variety is limitless really. Yogurt sits very, very well for me. So this is my go to on "tight sleeve" days as well. thinmymind 107 Posted June 23, 2012 Nonfat plain Greek Yogurt is great. It's pure Protein. Flavor it as someone mentioned about. Sub for mayo or sour cream. My nutritionist makes her own because she eats so much of it.
