bethany1987 66 Posted June 23, 2012 Does anyone else feel guilty when talking about your weight loss? I know it took courage to have surgery and I know I've had to struggle to follow the rules, but when I talk about how much I've lost or people compliment me I always feel the need to clarify that I didn't do it on my own. Anyone else feel like this?
JDHenin 165 Posted June 23, 2012 No you shouldn't feel guilty. I tell people when or if they ask how I did it. I lost 70 lbs prior to my surgery. So when people ask, I usually say that I dd have surgery but that I did lose a lot on my own. Not that I'm ashamed, because I am not. But we shouldn't feel obligated to tell anyone. I will not lie though. If they ask I will tell.
