phatdivabbw 86 Posted June 22, 2012 Today we had chinese food. I didn't know what to order I opted for egg drop and out of habit I said egg drop wonton. I fished out all the bits of egg and now I want to eat a small piece of the wonton. I even broke a few open and ate the meat inside. But I'm afraid to bite the wonton. Is a wonton in the same category as bread, rice and Pasta. Stats: I am 5 weeks post op. I'm going on my 2nd week of soft foods then I'm on regular food.< /p>
Lissa 2,631 Posted June 22, 2012 I think the wonton is okay, but it is carb-laden. Probably not a lot of carbs in one wonton, especially compared to rice. For me, though, any bready food fills me up really fast and keeps me from being able to drink my Water until more than an hour past the meal. Not good with the amount of water I need to drink daily to stay hydrated.
phatdivabbw 86 Posted June 22, 2012 I have issues with getting my Water in and after eating the broth. I didnt eat the wonton. Hubby wouldn't let me even try it. LOL I'm thirsty and want to drink badly.
