Gotta go potty

Recommended Posts

I had a Bailies with coffee and whipped cream this evening. Then I felt like I had a price to pay, so I drank an extra liter of Water afterwards. Well, now it's bed time. I'll be up all night going tinkle. I need to hire a life-manager to follow me around and do my thinking. What possessed me to drink a bucket of water before bed, let alone a thousand calorie drink?

Just be glad you didn't have to go to an school assembly and listen to them give out awards for two hours... including awards given to children that helped out 1 or more times in the lunchroom. A buttocks as large as mine is not meant to sit on a metal chair for that long! I was surprised they didn't give awards to children that attended school at least once during the year.:) Hope you are keepin those eyes open today DeLarla... if you need more excitement... I'll be happy to share more "edge of your chair" stories from the assembly.

:D

Sorry, but I'm laughing that you had to sit there cuz that happened to me last weekend. My neighbors are my best friends, and I'm super close to the kids. Mekha is 14 and makes me go to all her dance recitals. Last weekend she made me show up before 2:00 because her class danced exactly at 2:00. Joke was on me cuz that's when the entire program started. I had to watch from WeeTot Tumbling through Karate Kids, then up every age till the teens. It was a tiny library theater with Sesame Seat sized chairs. My butt was wedged in tight that entire time!

LOL... I'm glad I'm not the only one to suffer from small chair tushitis! I was a squirming and shifting... sighing... and otherwise in complete agony! Reason number 210 for getting the Lap Band!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
