MsDallasSleever 65 Posted June 21, 2012 I've finally completed all of my requirements and waiting to be submitted to Cigna. I've read that they can take up to 30 business days but I'm really hoping it doesn't! It seems like my future weightloss is all I can think about. What had everyone else done to make it through this phase. My surgery cannot be scheduled before I am approved ;( I would feel better if I knee my date already! Wheetsin 714 Posted June 21, 2012 Cigna likes to take all of it's allowed days. It's seriously the slowest insurance company I've eer dealth with in that regard. They took 29 business days to deny me, then like 28 to overturn the denial. By then it was the end of the year and my insurance was changing. Sigh. IIRC their policy is something like "take at least 15 business days, but can take up to 30." I forget now, but I know I've posted it here before if you think it's worth looking up. Hopefully you'll hear back sooner, just don't expect to. They take their time, for sure.

emily_0192010 168 Posted June 21, 2012 This was the hardest part of the entire journey for me!! The waiting and suspense is killer!! I kept myself as busy as I possibly could to keep my mind off of it... it worked... kinda... okay, not really! But I tried Good luck! The time will be here before you know it! I think it's because throughout the process, there has 'one more task' to complete. Now, everything has stopped while we wait! I think I'll go do some work and then clean my house over the weekend. By then, it will be Monday and I'll call the insurance company.
Losingitforgood! 50 Posted June 21, 2012 Someone also mentioned on here that with the changes they made with the 6 month diet changing to 3 months- Cigna has also expedited their approval process to 5 business days. I hope so!!! That would be amazing.
