Ready! 22 Posted June 20, 2012 Does anyone know if your body shape affects weightloss. In other words, do pear shapes lose faster than apple shapes?
Jenn31MA 149 Posted June 20, 2012 I wouldnt think so but it will determine WHERE you lose fat. Im currently an apple shape with most of my weight in my stomach area and i used to have an hour glass lol I cant wait to get that back!
LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted June 21, 2012 Majority of weight loss patients regardless of shape tend to lose first in the face and shoulders. From there it begins to lose where ever it wants. I lost in the arms and belly next. I was left with huge legs and behind and that was when it began to get really difficult for me. I had to work really hard to get the rest off. Not complaining, just stating facts. I became so lopsided I decided to have liposuction to cure the areas I felt would never go away. I'm glad I did, I feel much more proportionate now. Foxbins 625 Posted June 21, 2012 I was an hourglass when I was young and apple-shaped at surgery. I lost most in my hips, thighs, rear, and belly. I am now a triangle shape--size 10 tops (still a D cup), size 6 pants. I don't think any particular shape loses weight quicker.
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted June 21, 2012 The unfortunate reality of weight loss is that you will lose weight in the reverse order you gain it. Most women gain first in their thighs & butt area, so that will be the last place to lose from. Men tend to lose their guts last. You will lose in you're extremities first then it willwork in toward your problem areas.
