Anyone Recieved Plastic Surgery In Mexico?

Recommended Posts

If you do not want to go to Mexico, New York Eye and Ear hospital in Manhattan, is a world renowned for it's head and neck plastics, developed a cosmetic surgery fellowship that offers low cost surgery 3000-4000 per procedure. The surgeons are all board certified, have already done a plastics fellowship and have decided to super specialize in cosmetics. i had a breast lift for 3000 and a lower body lift (Full circumferance zipper) AND a Tummy Tuck for 3000. I did this after a big weight loss (that failed a year later) and although I have gained the weight back, I don't have saggy boobs or an apron. They did a phenomenal job.

I haven't had my sleeve yet, but I've already started looking into reconstructive surgery and came across this website. It's worth looking into.

I had a facelift, neck lift, and chin implant in Costa Rica this past January. I'm very pleased with my results. However, I'm looking at Dr. Sauceda in Mexico or Dr. LoMonaco (in Texas, I think) for body work. I want someone with extensive experience in post-morbid obesity patients and both of them have that.

So I was doing an exam on a patient that took about four hours' date=' so we had a lot of time to talk, and she was ten years out and her insurance covered everything from surgery to plastics. She worked for an insurance company so knew the ins and outs, and for blue cross blue shield there is a statement that says(something along these lines) "If we approved you for one surgery and you have a problem or need for something else we will approve that" lol I am sure in better terms but pretty much they approved the bariatric surgery which caused the excessive skin, so they approved the plastics..... worked for her... wouldn't hurt to look into through your company, she said they told her no twice till she got a copy of there stuff(not sure what its called) and could point it out to them.[/quote']

That's great because I have blue cross blue shield ;). Thx for sharing

That is for the post fellow docs. You have to ask for the plastics "clinic" on the 9th floor. Whole different fee base

The number to the clinic from my contacts (4 years ago, hope it still works for you) 212-979-4493. Body work is a lot of their work. . I had a tummytuck with lower body lift And a breast lift for 3000 each. I, unfortunately gained the weight back, just not as much on my tummy

If you look down on the lower right hand corner of the ad, you will see the number for the low cost fellow clinic.

Foxbins,

I just checked out Dr. LoMonaco's website. He seems very well regarded.

Do you by chance have any price estimates?

Im booked with Dr. Saucedo in Monterrey in November! So excited! I comparison shopped around san antonio and couldnt find another surgeon with as much experience and his price is all inclusive, with hotel, hospital and all. Its about 4k dollars cheaper than here and these docs here do not have a lot of experience with massive weight loss patients. I cant wait to see my results! I will post pics when I get back in December!

I'm sorry, I don't have any price estimates. I'm waiting another six months (when I will be at goal for a year) to see if I get any skin tightening at all before doing any consults or scheduling bodywork.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
