Anyone Lose All Your Appetite On Your Pre Diet?

Recommended Posts

Im on day 8 of 14 and having trouble getting myself to eat the items they gave me for the 2 week diet. I almost made it today but missed one meal. Not getting all my Water although I usually have about 24-30 oz of water a day not including the shake a day. Im losing weight but dont want to show up Monday morning and them cancel my surgery due to malnutrition...Can you be obese and malnourished?

Any ideas for suger free no calorie foods other than crystal light and sf Jello?

Not in the amount of time. I was on 3 shakes a day that = 600 calories for 14 days before surgery, I only had one sf popsicle and 1 sugar free Jello in all that time plus Water.

Since surgery 14 days ago, I am hitting under 200 calories a day and barely hitting 20 grams of Protein since surgery. I have not had solid food in over 28 days. The nutritionist told me today, I have enough Protein stores to get through this hard phase of getting in my Proteins.

You are fine.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
