slikchik10 85 Posted December 20, 2007 I don't currently have trouble with my restriction and the block meetings. I am hungry by the time it's over (9-12) but we go to the 11-2 schedule in a couple of weeks. I still don't think this will mean much since I'll just plan to eat before I go, or I'll take a snack. Frankly, being a teacher is more of a pain with this than church. 30 mins to inhale a lunch....lol, my inhaling days are OVER. Slime & PB are my friend if I go to fast, so, the block is actually pretty good. Anyway, I'd just take a snack. There's diabetics in the ward I'm sure and just like them, it's a medical condition. (I know, I really am not concerned if folks know I had surgery or not....don't care about other people's opinions all that much...lol) Good luck. VegasGrace 1 Posted December 20, 2007 That is a good idea... something to nibble on. I will try that. First I have to find something I won't slime on...and the only thing that I can eat as much as I want and more and don't slime... Peanut M&Ms....hahahah I'll have to figure something else out. There for Her 0 Posted December 23, 2007 If things work out well, by May, we'll be moving somewhere not so out in the middle of nowhere. Where is the best city to live for post-Lap Band Surgery after care/support?

azeducator 0 Posted December 23, 2007 Hello, and welcome to the world of banding! I am also LDS and was banded in August. I live in Arizona and was banded in Mexico. I have had 2 fills and can tell I am almost ready for the 3rd. I guess there are more LDS bandsters out there than I thought. Good luck on your journey. sweethot143 2 Posted January 6, 2008 Ok, is anyone as excited as i am that we are learning about Joseph Smith in RS for the nest 2 years! Did you have an introduction to it today? Wow! I am a convert and don't know a lot of details, just the basics and what an Amazing man he was. He died at 38! and changed the world in his few short years. I am so excited for this manual! miztrniceguy 1 Posted January 6, 2008 well, i won't be in RS,but we are also reading it in PH of course. I remember my first visit here to MO and up to Carthage, and Nauvoo for the open house...Carthage jail was a very powerful place to be. My wife and i were married in Nauvoo temple shortly after. sweethot143 2 Posted January 6, 2008 that's awsome. The most "mormon" place I've been is Salt lake and St. George. And of course all the temples we've been to. Salt Lake has been my favorite so far. The live sessions are amazing!
miztrniceguy 1 Posted January 6, 2008 yes, live is great...manti was still live when i went, not sure if still are. i lived in salt lake for 6 months then 1 1/2 yrs in evanston wyoming...went to most the temples there....San Diego was my first.
gweniper 0 Posted January 7, 2008 I was called as an assistant nursery leader just before Thanksgiving, so when I read the note about Joseph Smith I had to ask my hubby if that is the book this year, yep I am just out of the circle being with the kids but I enjoy them. Teach them about Jesus and Joseph Smith will be fun. I get to teach 'Heavenly Father has a body' next week.
miztrniceguy 1 Posted January 7, 2008 that sounds fun...my son has just finally been able to be left in nursery...i haven't been able to succesfully leave him without him howling until last week. today i took him in, sat for a few minutes, and slipped out while he was playing with toys. nobody came and got me either!! Angeladarling 0 Posted January 7, 2008 Hi! I am LDS and living in Houston, TX. I was banded on 6/28/07. I'm glad to see other LDS bandsters on here. I am going in for my second fill on Wednesday and can't wait. My weight loss has been at a stand still for the past 6 weeks. I am still struggling with emotional eating. Does anyone have suggestions? What to do instead of eating for comfort?
finallythin@34 0 Posted January 7, 2008 I was banded 6/11/07 and I'm down 60 lbs today. I'm really stepping it up and setting a heafty goal for 10 lbs a month until my band-a-versary! I want to be at 175 by 6/11/08. I haven't weighed that much since in 20 years! I'm glad to see there are other members on this board. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself and it's great to share it with others who believe the way I do.
