Hi my fellow sleevers! It's been awhile since I've been on this site. I'm 7 months out and only lost between 30-35 lbs, really??? I am still following what I'm supposed to, eating healthy, exercising. I work 4-10s and on my feet 95% of the time. I've seen my surgeon last month and said that it really varies from person to person...I only want to loose about 30 more pounds but with the pace that I am going, it seems like it'll take me forever!!! I haven't really been to my support group because I am just frustrated/ disgusted way beyond belief. Some people that had this done, don't even exercise nor eat healthy and they still loose the weight!

So are there people out here going thru the same thing that I am going thru right now? I am just way sooooooooooooooo very frustrated, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing...dont be so hard on yourself, you are down 35 lbs right? Sure, it isnt as fast as some of us but like they say...everyone is different. You seem to have a lot less to lose than most and sometimes weight loss is just slow...I know it sucks but look at the positives, less saggy skin, not having to buy new clothes every month etc. How much are your eating? How about Water intake? I lost really quickly but now it is slowing the last 35 for me too. I try to mix it up, add more calories, change the workout routine when I have a stall and it seems to work. Best of luck to you and be easy on yourself, stress doesnt help weight loss either. Hugs to you!

Hi I'm new to the forum but not to Sleeve. My one year anniversary is coming up June 30 and I too have only lost 30 - 35 lbs. I have went as far as having my stomach tested to see if it has stretched. Lol on Tuesday I went to see the nutrientist to see what is going on.

One thing she said everyone's body reacts differently. Two I was not getting in enough Protein and was not exercising enough.

So I'm going to try to improve on those two but I feel u. I am very frustrated as well. All the friends I mafia that had surgery same month as me had lost 80, 90, 65, and even s 100. In my support im the only one stlll in the 200, they all in

onederland. But my doc said its good for people like me and you because we should have less saggy skin. Maybe we can help each other.

I'm so sorry to hear this! It much be very difficult for you! First off, congrats on getting to your halfway point! That is a big accomplishment and shouldn't be pushed aside!

In the meantime, I would focus on your Water and your Protein. As long as you are getting those in (and your vitamins!) then you are doing everything that you can do. Unfortunately, your body just wants/needs more time to drop the weight.

((hugs))

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
