I'm hoping mine will also be early to mid October! I'm on a 3-month approval track with insurance. Have my first NUT visit in a couple weeks.

I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed!

I'm glad there are more of us- we're growing in numbers LOL. It will go fast! Waiting is the worst part (I'm NOT a patient person lol) but before we know it it will be here! October is my favorite month- always has been since I LOVE Halloween so this is going to be the best one yet! Yay! :D

I am scheduled for October 12th. My insurance hasn't been approved yet, but all my appointments are completed (except for pre-surgery and last nutrition).

I am going on vacation (a cruise - yikes) in the middle of September so had to push surgery out to October. Nice to meet you all.

Hey everyone I'm scheduled for October 5th in Mexico... tried to get it done in the states but insurance wouldn't cover. It really was a blessing in disguise thought.... I've heard nothing but great things about Dr. Alvarez and Susan his coordinator is the bomb! ! She is always there to answer my questions and gets back to me very quickly. Looking forward to my new life!

I am scheduled to be sleeved October 8th with Dr. Garcia. Part of me is excited and ready to get this show on the road. Another part of me is wondering if I have lost my mind. Is anyone going to be in Mexico 10/07 to 10/11?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
