Lilee84 648 Posted June 18, 2012 I don't do manual labor, but I can tell you that you're more prone to heat exhaustion and heat stroke due to dehydration post op. I've been experiencing a serious sensitivity to the heat this summer since getting sleeved. I typically can't go outside before about 4 or 5PM, and I've always loved summer/the heat etc.. lady lisa 12 Posted June 18, 2012 My husband was sleeved last year in April and works in the oil fields. He made sure to stay super hydrated with Gatorade and Water and was fine. He worked 12-16 hour days also. If I were you I would check with the doc and maybe have labs drawn first just to make sure you are healthy enough to take on this Texas heat. The labor part will have to be up to your doctor, some are different and allow it earlier. My doc said do anything as tolerated, however the fatigue you have after makes it difficult. 10 hour day could be a challenge. Talk to tourspcror and see what he/she would recommend given your history, health, etc.
