I would have to say that maybe i would like spam more if it was included with some cheese. My father used to eat fried spam sandwiches with colby cheese. the smell always turned me away though. just can't stand the idea of spam, let alone spam fried in its own processed fake grease.

our dog must be by itself when we indulge in cheese. otherwise he pushes the kids to share their cheese with him. then they really get into it, they throw the cheese, maybe not all is found by the dog, and the next month i find fuzzy cheddar under my couch when i am cleaning. it is just such a waste of cheese.

would think people would certainly believe in you. You have been here a very long time, and apparently know that although emotional, Lisa tells it like it is and she doesn't lie.

Thanks Dody, what alot of the newcomers do not know is that when all of this scandal was going on last year Lisa and I were at war and I mean war becasue I stood up to her. This went on for months, many members here will recall all of this but the friendship here at LBT and outside of LBT Lisa and I had created prior to that incident was far more important to both of us so we made ammends. She does say it like it is and can be very abrupt at time and when provoked but she is also very kind and caring, she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Many members here have njoyed, laughed and cried at Lisa's posts, she adds a different flare to this board. Seeing her go saddens me

Could someone please explain to me what the intention of all the cheese inanity is? I don't understand what you are trying to do here.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
