My Period Is Regular! But Facial Hair Is Here To Stay :(

Recommended Posts

I had laser before the op when I still had pcos and it helped so much I only did 1 round of treatments and I would say it cut about 70% of the hair and it grows much slower I got a groupon deal 3 small areas so I did chin lip and armpits all 6 treatments over the year total cost £115.
Laser works best on fair skin and dark hair it wont remove blonde hair as it need the colour in the hair for the laser to travel down.
And if you tan or you have darker skin is can cause patchy discoloured skin.
You go every 5 weeks as the hair grows in 5 week cycles the day you go some hair might have come out and not be in a growth state so missed that kind of thing.
Once you start laser you can not pluck/wax etc no root ripping out so you can only shave for the whole length of time you laser.
Laser travels down the hair and into the root damaging it from growing you do several treatments to eventually kill it for good.
I still have some hair I will be doing a round 2 groupon again to hopefully get rid of remaining hair from all 3 places for good!

Have you tried laser hair removal? It's quite affordable now... Thank god! I laser my entire face every 6 weeks for $99 us dollars. I'm quite happy with the results.

Curious.. how many times have you had it done? Also is it not permanent?

Nevermind.. my question has been answered.. I should of kept reading. thank you

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
