Jane195711 1 Posted June 17, 2012 Hello, I was sleeved on 5/1/2012 and I was so depressed and almost angry at times - my doctor said that was because I was very nervous about everything and was/am having anxiety. Maybe check with you doctor and there might be something he/she can give and or recommend something that may help you. I walk - I can't walk far but I walk as much as I can and I really try to stay busy and most important to me - I get as much sun as I can take I hope this helped you in some way - Good Luck 1 atkinsguidry reacted to this
5DoxieMom 87 Posted June 17, 2012 Had surgery 4/3/12 and have battled depression almost entire time. Anyone else had this problem? I had it bad for almost 6 weeks....depression, hopeless feeling, got really angry for almost no reason. It will pass. My best suggestion is don't make any major decisions and really think about things before you say them. I said some things to people that I wish I could take back! Now looking back, I realize I was half outta my mind! 3 months out, everythings fine now.
bratvp63 118 Posted June 17, 2012 The first 4-6 weeks were tough, was thinking I was going to melt overnight and when it wasn't happening it was depressing. Three months out now and doing and feeling great. It will pass.
bogeydog 30 Posted June 18, 2012 I have. Sleeved one week ago and mine is over having made a decision that cannot be undone - I think that is a normal reaction to any life- altering decision that is irreversible. I just have to keep reminding myself it will pass -- what choice do I have???
alliegb3 112 Posted June 18, 2012 Yep- this surgery took away my best/most consistent friends: food. It's a natural thing I believe. You will pull out of it. It will get better. Lots of love!
