3.5 Weeks Out And Still Having Pain........ :0/

Recommended Posts

So I'm about 3.5weeks out. Wednesday makes 4 weeks and my largest incision still hurts. If I'm sitting it's fine, laying down is fine, but when I stand up sometimes it feels like I'm pulling something inside. If I push on it a little it hurts.....

I know everyone is different and all will heal different but I'm getting nervous something might be wrong. I already called my doctor and left a message.

Im 5 weeks out and I have the same issue from time to time. Mine still bleed on occasion because my stitch came apart. My doc looked at it and said it was fine. Just have your doc take a look at it. As a side note, I think I started back exercising way too soon do its my fault the stitch bust!!

you have internal stiches too that take time to heal (even longer then the external) it is totally normal to feel like it is tight in that area. if you have any redness or heat (or fluid) then go to doc asap. :)

That is where they pulled your stomach out. It does take a while to heal. Some people heal faster, and that's great, but there are some of us that take longer to heal and eventually we will catch up with everyone else. Hugs to you, I'm so sorry you still hurt. I know I will be hurting probably for a while to come myself.

I had the same pain it was terrible by surgeon explained that the internal stitches take awhile to heal and they can cause a lot of pain. My pain has just gone away now and I was sleeved on April 24th

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
