Nate 292 Posted June 17, 2012 I don't see why you shouldn't be able to. But it would probably be best if you contacted your doctor's office. or at least an advice nurse where you had the surgery done and find out from them.
Nate 292 Posted June 17, 2012 P.S. Just make sure if you do ice them that you keep the ice in a baggy or something to keep the incisions dry
MinaT 669 Posted June 17, 2012 I used an ice pack on my belly and made sure i wrapped it in a soft cloth first. It has helped a little bit. I also was using ice on my lower back because though I never had back pain before, since surgery i have a lower back ache.
Rootman 1,101 Posted June 17, 2012 Yes, but go easy on it and as already pointed out above, be sure to wrap it in a towell to keep direct contact of the ice bag off your skin, also minimize the time you use it, while ice will keep the swelling down and help with any pain excessive use can slow the healing.
