I'm 5'1" and 6 weeks post op. My Starting weight was 216. I lost 11 pounds Pre-Op and 21 pounds since surgery. My Surgery was April 18. I stalled during week 4 and 5 but the weight started moving again after I dropped my carb intake.

I'm 5'1". Had no Preop diet requirement but dieted a week before. Started at 215. Was 208 day of surgery. Sleeved 5/24 so I am just over 3 weeks out. I am currently 192. I may be on my 3 week stall because I haven't lost anything for 4or5 days. I'm ok with that. I had a few bumps right after surgery. Went back to work this last week. I felt good just a little tired. Going to start going to the gym this coming Monday to help weight loss and get over the stall.

I lost 40 pre-sleeve and 80 after. My pre-op diet started in June (so about a year ago) and my surgery was 9/19/2011.

I am 5 feet flat and 190; not yet sleeved. If you go to the Mentors/Buddies forum, there is a subforum for people 5'2" and under. Good luck

Hi! I'm 5'3 and weighed 212 on my surgery day. My highest weight was 235- I lost the difference on my preop diet. I was sleeved 3.12.12 and currently I weigh 164.

I am 5'3 and weighed 220lbs on surgery date (1/23/12), I currently weight 174lbs, so down 46lbs in 5.5months, not alot, but I don't exercise. sounds like others have had more success?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
