Sleevorama 56 Posted June 15, 2012 Ok...I've done awesome and am very VERY pleased with my success, lost 86# in 3 months, but I've hit my first big stall since surgery and am pretty sure its exercise related.....just want to bounce this off you all to make sure my thinking is correct. I've been down 1# up 1#, going back and forth for two weeks now. I've been doing walking and eating between 800-1000 calories a day, Protein first. I just had my 3 month and was told I need to start hitting the gym and lifting. Is that whats got me in the stall......not doing the lifting yet? In fairness my walks are a nice relaxed pace, I was told to do it that way right now, so its not like my cardio is that heavy. Any guidance or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! 1 ashleyxx reacted to this
geno5150 168 Posted June 15, 2012 You can't always judge loss by what the scale says. If your clothes continue to fit more loosely and you feel more energetic every day, then you are probably turning some fat in muscle with exercise, even at your slow pace. Adding more intense exercise will increase the amount of calories you are burning, so you will have to start losing again- there is no other way around it. Good luck! Grateful05 8 Posted June 15, 2012 Finally someone is telling us how to get out of this stall. My clothes are fitting looser but the scale is not moving. I notice since I've up'd the Protein I do have lots more energy. Thanks for the advice.
