Hey all so my husband wants red lobster. Have you eaten there? What do you order? I'm a little over two months out. I still can't eat a lot but I sure want to :)

Red Lobster is one of a few restaurants that have special meals for WLS people. My daughter worked there and told me. I am happy :)

Plenty of options there! I'd do salmon, crab legs, or grilled shrimp - hold the butter.

Hey shrinkinmama, I actually went there last friday and my husband ordered a steak that came with mashed potatoes and it also came with a grilled skewer of shrimp, so I just had a couple of the shrimp from his meal. But my original plan was to order shrimp scampi. I had a TINY bite of one of the biscuits because who can resist them?? lol Hope that helps! :)

I actually went a few days ago. Now I will say Im not a seafood person, the only thing close to seafood I eat is canned tuna with mayo and relish lol.

I got a chicken ceasar salad which was soooo good. They do have alot of healthy options on their menu (Lighthouse), my friend got the Sailors Platter (not so healthy since it came with breaded shrimp) but the broiled fish that was used I actually really liked it, it was very mild, not much of a fish taste. Next time I go Im going to ask what kind that was used, I would eat that again.

I found this on their site: http://www.redlobster.com/health/

Check out the Lighthouse Calculator in the lower right hand corner of that page.

You could also just order off the kid's menu.

I love Red Lobster, they have great steaks - and of course fried clams, shrimp - all that great stuff.. Then they make these super special rolls, not to mention great salads and desert. :( (my mouth is watering)

Won't eat that anymore. but they have great other stuff too

I love their salmon - they give a big piece, now i will take more than 1/2 home.

Their food is great, so next week-end DH and i have an over due "date"

Krysty - thanx for the great web site for Red Loster showing menu

How about all of us sleevers go to Red Lobster one night, whose buying

Red Lobster is my and my daughter's favorite place to eat out for self-treating. We share the build-your-own meal and choose three. We get stuffed flounder, shrimp scampi and either Walt's shrimp or baked salmon. We can both eat our fill there and each take enough home for another meal. So...basically for price of one meal, we get four out of it. We share Soup or salad and have a few bites of biscuit and we are totally satisfied. Good for us and good for our budgets. Can't beat that with a stick!!

At two months out, you should be able add in the soft fish and shrimp, salmon too if you take small bites and chew it well.

Red Lobster, here you come!!!

Fish cooked properly really shouldn't taste fishy. As a matter of fact, tuna is more "fishy" than properly prepared fish should ever be. I'm always sad when people get turned off to seafood because their first exposure was poorly prepared. Kept me from eating fish for YEARS. So glad I learned differently. It is a great lean Protein that can easily take on the flavor of whatever you prepare it with.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
