I hear ya!! For me, I never ever want to see Jello again! I'm looking forward to starting pureed food on Monday - at least then I can have something with some flavor.

Ugh, I have supposedly another 4 -5 weeks of liquid. I can't even get the liquid in I need. I want instant mashed potatoes with cheese and Tabasco, because someone was talking about Tabasco today. I know I can't handle it, because I can barely handle my liquids.< /p>

Well, I have been on puree since last Friday, and I have been "pureeing" my food by chewing it to death. Well, I am sitting here in SO MUCH PAIN that I am going back to Protein Drinks tomorrow. It isn't worth the pain. I barely ate anything. Maybe 3 ounces. My problem is I eat too fast. I am supposed to eat baby bites, and wait a minute between bites. I haven't mastered this, and I just ain't willing to go through this again. Flavor is good, but not like this. LESSON LEARNED BODY!

If you must chew, SF popsicles (chew, then let them dissolve in your mouth) and crushed ice will give you the sensation of chewing.

I am on day 7 post op and I am allowed to start puréed food today. I am at a loss of what to eat.... Any suggestions? I see some of you are on puréed too!

When I was eating pureed foods, I ate mostly baby food because it was convenient. It was a little weird at first, but if you add in some seasonings, it's not too bad. You can blend almost anything into a puree, but some things just don't work well like that. smoothies are good if you're allowed to have fruit. If not, use your favorite flavor of powdered protine and skim milk.

Wow I'm 20 days out and still on full liquids, good luck with the pureeds. Go slow try only one thing at a time and only a little bit at a time. Seems most people do well with a few teaspoons of refried Beans with ff sour cream on top. Instant mashed potatoes with ff gravy, but only a little bit at a time.

I believe tuna blended with celery salt, and ff mayo or miracle whip is something a lot of people do.

I'm looking forward to trying tuna eventually. I just hope that I get off full liquids Wednesday. I'll be 23 days out and I could use a little change I think.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
