MsDallasSleever 65 Posted June 14, 2012 Wooohooo! Just found out yesterday that Cigna has changed their policy from 6 months to 3. I'm excited, scared, and nervous. I have my psych eval scheduled for Monday and then I should be ready to be submitted to insurance. I've gone back and forth with my decision however I've been able to decide to have it as all of the pros outweigh the cons. I think the hardest part of this for me will be the pre-op diet, challenging but not impossible! Does anyone have any tips for getting through the pre-op diet whether recipes or strategies...?? SMP1126 76 Posted June 14, 2012 I'm on day 4 of the pre-op diet and so far, I'm doing OK. I drink the Bari-Essentials shakes as prescribed and 1 cup of broth at dinner. I fill in the rest with either regular Water or Propel fitness water. I think a big thing is to keep occupied during this time so you don't dwell on the diet. And when it starts to get to you, and it will....just try to keep reminding yourself that it's only temporary and a couple of weeks of sacrifice is definitely worth a lifetime of happiness......good luck!
