frumpy69 37 Posted June 14, 2012 does anyone find raw vegetables hurt or give you abdominal pain after you eat them? what about dairy?
FishingNurse 1,211 Posted June 14, 2012 I have been eating raw veggies every day since about 4 months, and dairy since 2 weeks out with zero problems :-)
LadyIvy 159 Posted June 14, 2012 I have been eating raw veggies since March 19th (about 5 and a half weeks out) and dairy since about a week out. My tummy makes strange sounds with dairy now, but a gas x strip eliminates that problem. Never any pain with either.
Heatherr 149 Posted June 14, 2012 Sometimes raw veggies sit like a lead weight in my stomach, but never painful.
thinoneday 445 Posted June 14, 2012 frumpy69, yes when i first had my surgery I could not eat salad at all without a "call me an ambulance" pain. It was really bad. . .so for 3 years I didn't eat any salads at all. . a couple of weeks ago, we went to a friends dinner party and she had prepared a really nice salad. I thought to myself "I wonder if I'll still have pain if i eat that" Well I took some and really really enjoyed it. . . guess what? NO PAIN! The next day I made a salad for myself and no pain. . . yippee! Now I live on salad. ( I think I'm making up for the past 3 years) But my point here is that it may hurt now, so don't eat it now, just wait and hopefully one day you'll be able to get back to it. . don't aggrivate your tummy right now. . . one day it's going to allow you again. . .good luck!
