I'm Back And Feeling Good (For The Most Part...)!

Recommended Posts

I had my sleeve yesterday and sailed right through! Very little nausea (here's a piece of advice - ask for the behind the ear sea sickness patch before you go under and ask for nausea meds every time you get pain meds, whether you feel nauseous or not). The stuff I had to drink for the leak test was nasty, however it felt good to get liquid down my throat. Walking hurts but ís necessary. Walk, walk, walk!

I also included a pic of a few of the incisions. I did have a hiatal hernia so I ended up with 6 cuts. All in all a good experience!

Good luck and contained pain wishes to all who have been sleeved and to those who are yet to be sleeved!!

I agree about the patch behind the ear and the nausea meds. If you can avoid or stay ahead of nausea you are doing well!

I found it interesting that most of your incisions are below the belly button line while all of mine are above it. Each surgeon is certainly different!

You are doing a great job - keep it up!

OMG!! I sent my last post with pictures from my cell phone and just now looked at the picture of the incision and it's upside down!!! My incisions are above the belly button for the most part, too! Sorry for the confusion!! I think my phone has been hitting the pain meds :-)

You look GREAT! Thanks for sharing your update. I will also be having a hernia fixed and wondered what that would be like. Your incisions don't look nearly as bad as I had envisioned. :phew:

The part that hurts the most is the large incision on the left side. The hernia opening is the tiny one on top. Still hitting pain meds!!!
