Lilee84 648 Posted June 13, 2012 Have you guys seen this? I was watching GMA this morning and they were talking about an endoscopic procedure that reduces the size of your stomach, I think they called it a tube or hose procedure? Supposedly its for people who only need to lose 25-50lbs?
Rootman 1,101 Posted June 13, 2012 Perhaps it's the balloon? A balloon type device is passed into the stomach and inflated to take up room.

Fallenangel2904 494 Posted June 13, 2012 Interesting. I remember years ago when I was researching RNY there was mention of a procedure like this that was still experimental. I'm guessing this is the official procedure, I wonder how this would work on VSG patients, since the sleeve is a totally different shape from the RNY stomach. I also wonder if insurance would pay for this procedure. Very interesting!
Catracks 865 Posted June 13, 2012 but she has a pouch! What did they do? Reattach the stomach and then do this pleating stuff? I can pretty much tell her future. It sounds like she never retrained her mind or her body. I'm just glad the sleeve doesn't stretch too much. From 4 oz. to approximately 8 oz. I can handle. She was either doing the slider thing or she stretched the heck out of that pouch, or both.
june13sleever 223 Posted June 13, 2012 That sounds like the balloon. Not in the US. My friend in Saudi Arabia just did it.
