helleva 22 Posted June 12, 2012 hi, I was denied during my first attempt to get approved for the sleeve. My bmi was just below 40. I have been over weight most of my life and of course I lose weight (not much) & gain it right back. So, my question is.. can my surgeon update my bmi to 40 since I've gained weight before my coordinator files my appeal? If possible, will it help? thanks much, denise
helleva 22 Posted June 12, 2012 thank you I think I'll call my coordinator this afternoon to ask.. hopefully, it helps my situation!
TinaMari 75 Posted June 12, 2012 Do you have any of the co-morbid diseases...(high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes)? I know that will definitely help the approval process. And it's not difficult to get high cholesterol...wink wink! (I know that's bad)...! lol.
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted June 12, 2012 I had a lower BMI but I had a diagnosis of diabetes and high chloreterol. I was approved and loving my sleeve!
