favoredone 590 Posted June 12, 2012 So, a few of my girlfriends and I went out to a casino this past weekend... We kind of separated and perused different parts of the place... I was sitting at a penny slot (I don't gamble, so I thought pennies were safe! LOL) and this guy sits next to me and starts talking and stuff... The first thing through my mind was.. OMG, I have a sleeveless shirt... Is he looking at my arms... At my heaviest, I was never self-conscious about my looks... but lately, it's like.. OMG, I need to do this or this doesn't look right... Have you guys experienced this??
MamaOf8 13 Posted June 12, 2012 I haven't been sleeved yet, but I have lost 75 pounds before with Atkins and I can tell you when the weight starts coming off, like it sure has for you, (way to go, by the way!) you start to care again. You start to care about your clothes and your hair and it all matters again. It's a good sign, girl! It means your self-esteem is growing and repairing and it should! You look great and you're getting even better with every passing day. Enjoy the attention and RELAX. You're going to get more of it !! Best wishes!
hadouni 301 Posted June 12, 2012 Oh yes! I'm really self-conscious about my arms. They are the most visible flabby/saggy area and I've not been comfortable enough to wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts yet. I get it!!

favoredone 590 Posted June 12, 2012 I've never been self-conscious about my clothes and stuff... So, I was surprised!! Maybe it's just that I'm changing so much and my head hasn't caught up!! LOL...
thickchic 14 Posted June 12, 2012 Its a mind thing. My dr. Said that doing push ups off the wall while standing will help that. Or some weights from walmart....
favoredone 590 Posted June 12, 2012 My arms aren't bad at all!! Which is why I was a little taken aback... Aqua aerobics and resistance bands are doing a great job...

june13sleever 223 Posted June 12, 2012 My poor thighs. I am still going to have to wear shorts in the Water until I have an inner thigh lift. I do still feel self conscience but at least I don't feel like a slave to food. That by far was the worst. I have flabby inner thighs, but I still like what I see more than I did before.
