I an so stressed out I hope all goes well. Anyone else had to submit additional documentation?

IMSKINNY 160 Posted June 26, 2012 Hey, I called the insurance company today after waiting a week to call and was told that the nurse reviewed the info and submitted it to the medical examiner for review. I asked how long the review would take and she said that the nurse had contacted the reviewer today to see if more clinical info was needed, but had not received a return call. What do you guys think about that? Is that good or bad?
IMSKINNY 160 Posted June 27, 2012 I have been calling and found out that it has been sent to the doctor for review. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Mine has been sent to the doctor for review too. Have you heard anything yet? How long has it taken? I'm calling tomorrow!!
soontobe1/2ofmyself 13 Posted June 28, 2012 Well the insurance company requested more documentation so I have been on a wild goose chase to get in touch with my previous physicians to get this documentation in a timely fashion. I an so stressed out I hope all goes well. Anyone else had to submit additional documentation? Well update I got the necessary information that wad requested. Egger only problem now is they want a weight history for 2011 other than my initial consult. Unfortunately I didn't see a doctor who took my weight so hopefully they will accept the initial consult weight for 2011 and look back at all my other past history of weight. Thinking positively! BeatrizS1974<3 sleeve 94 Posted June 30, 2012 Well my surgery was canceled, I recieved my denial letter on wednesday, all because the morons at my surgeons office insisted that i only had to do 4 months with the NUT. Well turns out that if she would of listened to me when i told her my plan specifically requires 6 months of visits with the NUT i would not be crushed right now. My only other issue is that i submitted weight histories for 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012. Turns out i was not at a bmi of 35 until 2009. I have now requested my weight history from my Dr. in Florida for 2008 (we had briefly relocated to FL and when we moved back i lost the info for who the dr. was since i only visited him twice i couldnt remember his name) My friend figured it all out for me and the request has been sent. Keeping fingers crossed that my bmi was 35 in 2008. Surgery will be rescheduled sometime in August. Good luck to you all.

I had already made plans to go to MX after I spoke with the insurance company last week and they were soooo negative! I am still in shock!! Thanks to all of you for your advice and well wishes! And to everyone waiting on the insurance to respond, stay positive! It will happen! 2 JenniJune and ebonisekim reacted to this
