that's possibly your signal that you are full. Try to stop eating before it hurts. If you're newly post-op, like I suspect, then your nerves in your sleeve aren't sending much info back and the pain is actually showing up in places other than your sleeve. You might also try slowing way down while you eat and see if that doesn't help you avoid that pain.

That's not my problem...it hurts even with the first bite...I chew slow and eat slow...So i don't know...I'm going to discuss it with my surgeon when i go back for my follow up in 2 weeks...

I had esophageal spasms after my surgery. They were murder. I couldn't eat or drink anything. My doc treated with valium and hydrocodone. The really severe ones only lasted a few days, but even now at close to 4 months I can still have them. Make sure to take it REALLY slow and don't swallow too big of a drink or bite. It will trigger them, if that is what you are having. And take the ppi as long as you are having any pain. That means things are still raw and healing and you still need that extra protection. Hope you feel better soon :)

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
