enid 8 Posted June 10, 2012 I Know that some people when they have bypass if they dont keep up with their diet they end up gaining A LOT of weigh and they might even be bigger than before they had surgery. Would that happen with vsg? Sent from my iPhone using VST
Marty McSkinnystein 342 Posted June 10, 2012 It seems it'd be more difficult because they say what's left is tougher skin- harder to stretch. I sure wouldn't want to work that hard to try it.
Mr_Worm 129 Posted June 10, 2012 The person above me is right. You can gain weight with any weightloss procedure. Your focus and diet from this point on has to be different than your past life. Its hard to realize and describe this now since you're pre op but once your weigtloss is coming off and you start feeling better and get compliments, you'll not want to go back to old habits. Good Luck!
amr2393 16 Posted June 10, 2012 The bypass pouch is made with a different part of the stomach. A part that has more elasticity than that of the sleeve. Not saying you can't regain some weight with the sleeve but it wouldn't be as bad as weight regain of a bypass.
