Any Bay Area California Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Thanks CNTWT2BMINIME. Yes I teach cake decorating so I could just leave my students hanging.

I would have stressed out so much. But this way I can have them finish out the class and start a new one then give them 1 to 2 weeks off. Dr. said that since I work 2 hours and I could sit I might be able to go back after 1 week. But I'm not going to push it. I wanna take my time healing the right way.

'

Good thinking....

Im having surgery at good samaritan hospital with Dr Richard Nguyen on October 10th. Next WEDNESDAY!!!!! Im so SCARED!!!!!!

I had mine done at Good Sam too on August 1st and Dr. Nguyen was my surgeon. He has a wonderful bedside manner and the staff at good Sam were great. It will go by really quick, I was really nervous the day of the surgery but everything went as planned and I'm 2 months post op and down a total of 107 lbs. and 53 lbs. is since my surgery. Just stay on point with your liquid diet, I know it's hard I had to do 3 weeks. Take it slow after the surgery and be careful with the morphine, that's what had me sick not my sleeve.

Good luck and keep us updated

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
