Estrovan 28 Posted June 11, 2012 Hey gang - I'm MUCH better today - I guess I just had to get it all out of my system yesterday. I just felt completely overwhelmed. I described it to my husband like "EMOTIONALLY speaking, this feels like deciding to have a baby or deciding to get married - It's for the rest of my life!" The forever factor is just a hard concept to adjust to I suppose. I guess it would be concerning if I DIDN'T take a moment to pause and soak this all in, right?? But - all in all - a much better today : ) Thank you all for the encouragement - so glad to be on this journey with great folks like you!!

TiredOfChubRub 21 Posted June 11, 2012 I had the same meltdown before I had my kids. Any kind of big change is scary. You can do this!!!!! You will be giving all of us "pre-oppers" pep talks soon.
CraftyV 61 Posted June 11, 2012 Hi Estrovan, I had to visit the Case Manager to get my date. When she said June 18, I became numb. When I went out to the Lobby to fill out more paperwork, I started crying out loud!!!!!!! Full on weeping and tears galore. And when my husband got on the phone it got worse. I couldn't even speak. I was like this for about a week but eventually got over it. Now I am feeling excited and anxious. It will get better, I am sure of it! Hang in there!
