astambo 9 Posted June 10, 2012 Hi ladies, Need some advice! I am taking oral birth control right now and really like it. I actually was recommended by my gyno to take it continuously so I skip my period (I get horrible PMS and cramping) so I only get my period about 4 times a year which is awesome! Has anyone been okay to take orals after surgery? I was told I may need the ring, but I cannot take that. I tried it before and had horrible and gross side effects. Can I have some input for oral BC after surgery? thanks!!!

justmeandmysleeve 91 Posted June 10, 2012 I am going to the gynocologist this week to ask the same question. I really do not want to get anything implanted since my husband and I would really like to start a family 18-24 months after the sleeve. I'll let you know what my doctor says. I am hoping to go back on the pill. I've been off the pill for a year and trying, but because of my weight we were not successful in getting pregnant. I am having the surgery to give us a better chance of having a HEALTHY family! Good luck!
