If you?re considering Dr. Sanchez

Recommended Posts

I´m here in Monterrey at the Sheraton awaiting my surgery this afternoon. The surgery will be with Dr. Sanchez, but I had a pre-op meeting with Dr. Rodriguez yesterday. I´m coming online to report my experience so far for those of you who are considering Dr. Sanchez.

The hospital facility appears to a layman to be comparable to American standards. The doctor´s staff have so far fulfilled all promises and have been there every step of the way. The hotel staff are helpful and accomodating. The hotel is nice by American standards. I was given an opportunity to speak to someone who had the surgery two days ago. He is doing well and had no vomiting and only minimal discomfort from the surgery. I have confidence in the quality of the medical care I will be getting.

The economic standard of living in Monterrey appears to be similar to some countries in the Meditteranean. In other words, not quite as economically well off as the US, but first world amenities and infrastructure are present.

I´m still scared of the procedure and recovery, but not because its taking place in MX as opposed to Houston.

My experience with Dr. Sanchez and his staff was wonderful. Dr. Cantu says that he puts a little mexican medicine in your I V so you don't get sick. (he's just kidding) but I didn't get sick. They are very nice and professional.

You probably will be banded by the time you read this post. The Sanchez team is awesome.

Where are you in Houston?? I am near Willowbrook Mall.

Who is going to do your fills? I get my fills from Dr. Stephanie. She was banded by Dr. Sanchez, and trained by him and Dra. Susanna to do fills the proper way. She is in Bryan, and worth the drive. She does all fills with fluoro. She only does fills on Saturdays, and she charges $200.

Let us know how you are doing, and let me know if you need Dr. Stephanie's contact information.

Everyone on here knows how much I think of Dr. Sanchez, alma, and his entire staff. I could not be more thrilled about my decision. The experience was most positive. Things could go wrong at any time but the past 6 weeks have been unreal. I never expected to loose so fast and I realize it might stop tomorrow but the 32 already lost at least will be gone. I was afraid of aftercare but I have the most wonderful aftercare as well. I could go to Monterrey at anytime but I go to Dr. Curry who answers a lot of questions on here and he is fabulous. I remember reading a post a while back where someone ask, is he really real? Why would a surgeon be answering all of our questions. It must be someone acting like a Doctor. Well, folks, he's real. I even posted a pics of me getting my fill, and Tuesday I went for my fill and the first thing he said was "I seen my pic's of me giving you your first fill on the website" I was so proud to be able to tell you that he is definetly real and he is the one doing the answers, otherwise he would have never known his pics were on here. Don't be afraid of aftercare. It's out there. I called 3 surgeons and all 3 took Mexican patients.

I wish you the very very best of luck with recovery and happy losing.

Give Dr. Sanchez a kiss for me and Alma too. My husband would love for you to give Alma a tight hug as he went gaga over her. She is beautiful.

I am back in Houston.

Snarlene, send me an email and we'll get together. I'm interested in those $200 fills with your trusted doctor in Bryan. Also interested in sharing experiences with someone local. I'm in SW Houston near West Oaks Mall.

I'm having a lot of gas discomfort. Sometimes pain, sometimes just an uncomfortable bloated feeling. I normally feel gassy and bloated if I don't eat for a while, so this is probably contributing to normal post-op gassy feelings.

Otherwise I'm doing fine. Very sore in the belly, but the pain is tolerable. I have trouble getting in and out of a chair and lots of trouble sitting up from a lying down position. sleeping is uncomfortable, because I can only lie on my back and my back gets sore from being in the same position for four hours.

I've got some "what-the-hell-have-I-done-to-myself" thoughts, but then I'm very early post-op and when I'm more healed and start losing weight my sentiments will probably change.

I can say that the medical care I got in Monterrey was first rate. The staff are very friendly. I'm a little more reserved with people I just met, so to me everyone was a little too friendly, but I know I'm in the minority about stuff like that. I imagine most people like it.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
